How Amaris Consulting supports a multinational banking and financial services corporation in software development

Our client

Our client is a multinational banking and financial services corporation whose primary operations include retail as well as wholesale banking and asset management. One of the top-30 largest banks in the world, it is present in more than 40 countries.

The project

The client needed support to roll out their retail banking platform in the Czech Republic, one of their main challenger markets.

Specifically, our client was seeking a software development partner to build the web components underpinning their retail banking customer interface, aiming to harmonise value propositions and processes for their retail products.

Solution

Our team were instrumental in developing the backend and frontend of our client’s financial services app (written in Java), through which customers could access key products such as mortgages, credit card and current account management.

Once the app infrastructure was built, the data pipelines (daily flow of data from customer interactions etc.) had to be linked to the infrastructure. Finally, the various financial products could be implemented into and routed through the app.

In order to do this, our team delivered a wide range of crucial software features, including:

  • Onboarding client’s existing container platform
  • Implementing a document pipeline as well as CDaaS/OpenShift pipeline
  • Researching and configuring key CDaaS tools ensuring code quality and security as well as improving DevOps speed (such as GitLab, SonarQube, Jenkins and Fortify )
  • Providing POCs (Proof of Concept) for ING’s delivery platform, thus allowing the project to be replicated in other countries
